Something changed in me when I watched Will Smith in “The Pursuit of Happiness,” and that movie, actually, has a bit of an ironic history in my life. I was watching it with my wife and mother in law, and due to a computer glitch, we could not watch the end of the movie. During the struggle, my mother in law said: “You know that movie, that is the story of your life.” She was meaning to say: “You are a no good son of a bitch who will never amount to anything.”
